Mukuru CPO joins other HR leaders vying for the prestigious CHRO of the Year title

avina Harrilall, who has been the CPO for Mukuru since 2022, has been nominated for the 2024 CHRO Awards.

Savina is a seasoned HR executive with more than 20 years of combined experience, of which 15 have been in a leadership role, covering the spectrum of generalist human capital (strategic and operational), organisational effectiveness, cultural transformation, transition management, employment relations, internal communications, mergers and acquisitions, and capability development.

Prior to joining Mukuru, Savina was the CPO at SA Taxi, and also held various executive positions at Momentum (MMI). Apart from working in the financial services sector, she also worked as an HR/OD consultant at Sasol and Nampak respectively.

Savina is in the process of completing her PhD in industrial and organisational psychology at the North-West University and currently holds a bachelor of social science from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, as well as honours and master’s degrees.

Through the CHRO Awards, CHRO South Africa continues to shine a spotlight on the finest in HR, recognising their hard work in the past year at listed companies, large corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions.

The 2024 CHRO Awards nominees will be celebrated during a gala ceremony at The Polo Room in Sandton on 14 November 2024.
