INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this qualification is to prepare students to operate as Project Managers, by assisting them to apply knowledge of project management to achieve project objectives in a specific field of application. The qualification is structured as a combination of knowledge and practical modules, as well as a workplace module.

Entry requirements
NQF level 4 qualification with communication and mathematical literacy
Outcomes
1. Initiate a project to address specific project objectives. 2. Monitor and control the scope, delivery schedules, costs and quality of a project. 3. Plan and prepare the delivery of a project. 4. Manage and control the human resources, communication and stakeholder interaction, project risks and procurement activities of a project. 5. Execute and control the delivery of a project management plan. 6. Manage the project close-out process.

Work Experience
The focus of the work experience is on providing the student with an opportunity to get exposure to the implementation of a project management framework by helping draft and manage a project plan. Prescribed work experience must be endorsed by the student’s mentor/supervisor and submitted to NVO for final assessment.
