Entry requirements

NQF level 6 in any financial field

The purpose of this qualification is to prepare a student to analyse individual securities, industries, and the economy; provide investment advice to clients in respect of securities and other financial instruments; and execute transactions in securities with/on behalf of clients and/or for an exchange member.

The work experience module provides the student with an opportunity to develop a thorough understanding of the organisation’s environment, regulatory responsibilities and direction with strong analytical skills, as well as the ability to apply market practices and regulatory requirements to the organisation. This includes formal responsibilities to colleagues and the business.

Prescribed workplace evidence must be collected and endorsed by the student’s mentor/supervisor in the workplace and submitted to NVO for final assessment. Students can register for a professional designation with SAIS (costs apply).

NVO will issue a Statement of Results (SoR) once the programme and all assessments have been completed successfully. EISA (External Integrated Summative Assessment) exam to be booked directly with SAIS once NVO programme is completed. Exam fee payable directly to SAIS (exam fees to be found on the SAIS website). The Novia One mock examination will be venue based to simulate examination conditions as applied by the Board Examination(EISA). Students will receive a certificate of competence against the qualification directly from QCTO after successfully passing the EISA.
