Matric and working in the Risk Management Department or 5 years work experience with access to risk management practices in the workplace.

Introduction
The purpose of this qualification is to prepare students to execute and implement risk management plans in support of an organisation’s risk framework. While this is generally the responsibility of Risk Officers, Risk Practitioners assist them by undertaking or facilitating activities related to the implementation of the plans for managing risk in an organisation.
EISA (External Integrated Summative Assessment) exam to be booked directly with IRMSA once NVO programme is completed.
Exam fee payable directly to IRMSA (exam fees to be found on IRMSA website). The Novia One mock examination will be venue based to simulate exam conditions as applied by the EISA exam.
Overview of the High-Level Programme
Module 1: Introduction to Risk Management
Module 2: Risk Management Framework: Strategy and Policy
Module 3: Risk Management Framework: Processes
Module 4: Risk Management Enablers
Written workbook and project assignment required.
Work Experience
The focus of the work experience is on providing the student with an opportunity to get exposure to the implementation of the risk management framework by helping draft a risk management plan and manage the plan for at least one full quarter of the lifespan of the plan.
Prescribed work experience must be endorsed by the student’s mentor/supervisor and submitted to NVO for final assessment.
Outcomes
1. Implement a framework (usually developed by Risk Officers) for managing risk in the business unit.
2. Create and sustain risk management partnerships.
3. Establish the internal and external risk context.
4. Assess risk in order to produce and update a risk profile for a business unit.
5. Prepare and facilitate risk treatment plans for a business unit.
6. Monitor, review and improve risk management activities and processes.
