RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING

According to the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA), Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) “means the principles and processes through which the prior knowledge and skills of a person are made visible, mediated and assessed for the purposes of alternative access and admission, recognition and certification, or further learning and development”. (SAQA, 2013)

Our aim is to make it possible to obtain formal recognition for knowledge gained throughout life, such as workplaces and own reading or experiences. Our RPL process also entails providing support to a candidate to ensure that knowledge is discovered and displayed in terms of a relevant qualification registered on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).
